Match the vehicle to real journeys

Start with your longest regular journey, charging access and typical weekly mileage. Published range is useful for comparison, but real-world results vary with temperature, speed, load and use of heating or air conditioning.

Choose a vehicle with a practical margin rather than relying on the full test-cycle figure. Drivers without reliable home or workplace charging should also consider public-charging availability and cost.

Understand charging before delivery

Check whether your property can accept a home charger, what installation work is required and which tariff may suit your usage. A charger is not included unless the quotation explicitly says so.

  • Confirm connector type and charging speed
  • Check home, workplace and regular-route charging
  • Allow for winter range and motorway driving
  • Review manufacturer battery-warranty conditions

Compare the complete EV cost

The monthly rental is only one part of the decision. Include electricity, insurance, charger installation, maintenance choice and any public-charging subscription when comparing an electric vehicle with petrol or hybrid alternatives.

The vehicle must still be returned within the agreed mileage and fair-wear standards. Battery use within the manufacturer’s normal conditions is part of ordinary operation, but the agreement and warranty set the binding terms.

Clear answers

Frequently asked questions.

Is an electric car suitable for leasing?

Leasing can suit drivers who want a new electric vehicle for a fixed period without owning it. Suitability depends on charging access, real-world range, annual mileage and total cost.

Is a home charger included?

A home charger is not included unless the written quotation expressly says so. Check property suitability, installation cost and available charging support separately.

What happens to the battery warranty?

New electric vehicles normally include manufacturer battery cover, but the duration and capacity conditions differ by manufacturer. Confirm the exact warranty for the selected model.

Does advertised range equal real-world range?

No. Published range figures are test-cycle values. Temperature, speed, load, heating, driving style and charging habits can reduce real-world range.
